For the pharmaceutical industry, Affitech can offer a broad rage of
antibody discovery tools and a robust and rigorously tested pipeline
towards fully human antibodies. The preferred business model is comprised
of early revenue in the form of milestone payments as well as retaining
rights to royalties on resulting end-user products.
Moreover, Affitech is actively seeking partners for joint development of
therapeutic antibody-based products and exploitation of Affitech's
technology platform in functional genomics. Of particular interest are
partnerships with academic institutions or target discovery companies with
rights to novel disease markers. In the context of a strategic
collaboration, a flexible joint venture model with limited upfront payment
and cost sharing can be discussed.
