Discovery and development of fully human antibodies
Affitech discovers and develops drugs based on fully human antibodies.
The Company’s discovery efforts begin by utilising its fully integrated antibody library and proprietary screening platforms. Candidates are profiled in biological systems utilising cell lines and human tissues corresponding to the Company’s therapeutic areas of interest. For example Affitech has utilized its CBASTM technology to generate antibody candidates against a number of different chemokine receptors implicated in autoimmune and cancer disease.
Affitech is developing a novel anti-VEGF antibody, AT001/r84, with a unique specificity that may improve efficacy and/or safety of anti-angiogenesis therapy. Affitech is establishing a robust product portfolio of both innovative projects as well as projects aimed at improving current standard of care with currently marketed products.
